Metal - Tin and aluminum cans. May NOT include aluminum foil or pie tins, or other metal items, hangers, pots or pans. It is preferred, but not required, that the labels are removed (and discarded in the trash). Cans need to be empty and rinsed clean (free of food, liquid or other residue). Tops and bottoms should be removed and can be recycled.

Glass - Glass bottles and jugs must be empty and rinsed clean (free of food, liquid or other residue). Glass bottles may be mixed by color (clear, green or brown). Caps or lids should be removed. Labels should also be removed, if they come off easily, but this is not required. Glass may NOT contain any of the following: ceramics of any kind, clay flower pots, light bulbs, mirrors, windowpane or ovenware.

Plastic #1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 - Plastic bottles and jugs must be empty and rinsed clean (free of food, liquid or other residue). It is preferred, but not required, that the labels are removed (and discarded in the trash). Tops should be removed and can be recycled. Bottles and jugs must be flattened, if possible, to save space.

Newspaper -  Newspaper must be clean and dry. Must be tied in manageable bundles with string or wrapped with tape, or may be loose in brown paper bags. May NOT include plastic bags. May include inserts that came in newspaper, glossy or not. Must NOT be wet.

Cardboard - Brown or grey, corrugated or flat cardboard must be clean and dry. May include grey tablet backings and cereal, pasta or tissue boxes. May NOT include waxed or wet cardboard soiled with food, grease or other contaminants. Boxes must be flattened and tied with string or wrapped with tape, if not contained.

Waste Mail/Magazines - May include magazines, catalogues, brochures, shiny/glossy paper, window envelopes, carbonless copy paper, etc. May include school paper, construction paper, textbooks without hard covers, soft cover workbooks, computer paper, greeting cards and gift wrap without metal foil. Writing or drawing with pen, crayon or markers are okay. May NOT include carbon paper. Must be tied with string or wrapped with tape, or may be loose in brown paper bags.

Office and Computer Paper - Office paper and computer paper must be clean and dry. Must be wrapped with tape, or may be loose in brown paper bags.Type your paragraph here.
